Listed here is a set of guidelines that forum members must obey, regardless if they have read them or not.
The general gist of the following list of rules is to treat others the way you would yourself, and to avoid posting material that is offensive or inflammatory.
- Unless you are very sure and have a source, please leave questions about Neotokyo for the developers to answer. Any desire to help is appreciated, but accidentally giving out misleading information to new members can be a bit of a bother.
- Please try to avoid excessively disturbing posting styles, such as using excessive profanity, printing text entirely in disruptive colors, or all letters in bold, italics, underlined or caps.
- Please leave administration of forum rules to the moderators and admins. If you believe that another user is being destructive, please use the reporting feature labeled with a triangular "!" button.
- Topics regarding politics or religion are not to be discussed on the Neotokyo forums. There are other places where such discussion would be better suited.
- Please do not personally attack other forum members. Do not try to incite others into aggressive linguistic confrontations (trolling and flame baiting).
- The moderators reserve the right to censor posts that are excessively inflammatory, racist, sexist or hateful. Offenses regarding this issue may lead to banning from this forum.
- All images and content that would be considered not safe for work must be labeled *nsfw* and covered with a link. Furthermore, moderators have the right to remove NSFW content without reason or defense.
- The official language of this forum is English. You may not write entire posts in a different language. You may post excerpts in a different language if it fits the content of the discussion.
- Do not pose as someone who you are not, whether it is a newbie, developer, playtester, etc.
- The moderators reserve the right to censor and punish attempts at commercial advertising if deemed to be spam.
- Discussion of illegal information such as software piracy or another person's personal information is subject to action.
Moderators reserve the right to kick, ban and censor to enforce these guidelines. If you would like to contest a decision made in a particular case, you may contact a friend on the boards who can argue for your situation via private messaging.
