Gabe Newell and Erik Johnson of Valve Software visited my workplace in New Zealand during their recent "Australia" trip. They were visiting my boss because my boss visits Valve occasionally when he goes to the states. So it was sort of like Gabe's turn to return the favor. Anyways, the day before Gabe and Erik showed up I made a speech bubble that says NTSUX, and I had my cardboard cutout Jitte which some of you may have already seen from me posting it in IRC. And long story short, I told Gabe that I made a mod called NEOTOKYO and asked if I could have a picture with him:
Goes without saying, but Gabe and Erik were super cool, and really down to earth. And Gabe knows when a mod sux and doesn't shy away from saying it! My other option was to have him say GLASSEATER SUX but I didn't want to miss the NT golden moment opportunity(tm) , plus everyone knows about Glass already.
